8th January 2012

For the past week, my group has been progressing very cooperatively. Even though we have not talked much during the holidays (not to mention the week in school only consisted of 3 days) it was one, or the best progress we have done so far.

In the 2 meetings that we met in class consist of all of us trying to sort our project out. For the past one term, my group have obviously been pressured with the fact that the other 2 groups were progressing much more faster than us. Which lead to us arguing more frequently with the lack of progress. Therefore, I believe that was one of the problems why we couldn't function properly.

In the end, this is what we have arranged:
1. Adam is responsible for Global Perspective, Maxwell is responsible for National and Stephanie is in charge for The Future. We all would do the Personal Perspective afterwards when we are done with the research on our individual task OR one individual that finish earlier, will do the personal perspective.
2. Every Friday at the end of the week, we will reflect on our progress.
3. Maxwell and Adam will need to find a school by Friday. (Adam - Global) (Maxwell - National)
  • what do you feel about canning?
  • do you have any form of corporal punishment in your school?
  • if yes, at what point do you determine it is right to cane a student?
  • if no, what is your thought of canning?
  • If you go to an international school, what is the corporal punishment view in your home country?
4. 8th of January we will finish our Plan, Aim & Objective planning.
5. History of Corporal Punishment finish on the 7th of January - Stephanie
6. We all finish our research by 13th of January.
7. Adam & Maxwell will create a draft of the email to the schools by 10th January.
8. FIX MEETING ON THURSDAY 8.30 - EVERY WEEK.
9. WEDNESDAY FIX MEETING AT LUNCH - EVERY WEEK.

After our first meeting, we went on skype and discussed about the schools that we were going to interview. We then chose New Zealand and Malaysia since they both have different views of corporal punishment, which was an excellent deal. This was because, Malaysia, we could ask Maxwell's old school whilst we can ask Adam's old school in NZ.

In our following meeting, we were discussing and creating our Plan, Aims and Objective. Gladly to say, we have already set our Aims and Objectives. Our Plan still needs working.
